At the SSML San Pellegrino students are offered the opportunity to join at the Erasmus + Programme, studying or working at European Universities or Institutions.

 

The Bachelor for Interpreters and Translators at San Pellegrino gives the chance to study nine languages both European and non-European: English, German, French, Spanish, Russian, Chinese, Arabic, Japanese, Brazilian Portuguese.

 

Thanks to the inter-disciplinary nature of the curriculum, students develop into a flexible professional figure whose skills are sought after and valued in many occupational sectors.

About

The Bachelor for Interpreters and translators at San Pellegrino gives the chance to study nine languages both European and non-European.

 

The SSML (University for Interpreters and Translators) San Pellegrino, legally recognized with the M.D. 198 dated 15/5/1989, was founded in 1987 by the Italian Order of the Servants of Mary.

Since 2003, with D.D of  31/07/2003 published on the Italian Official Journal number 198 dated 27/08/2003, the school has been authorized to issue, for all legal purposes, a Bachelor degree equivalent to those obtained in the State Universities for Interpreters and Translators (class L-12).

 

The certificate issued by SSML is recognized in all EU countries for the purpose of exercising the profession of Interpreter and Translator, pursuant to EEC Directive n.8748 dated 21/12/88, acknowledged in Italy with law n. 155/91.

You can specialize in the following languages: English, German, French, Spanish, Russian, Chinese, Arabic, Japanese and Brazilian Portuguese.

 

Studying at SSML

The Interpreter and Translator has a thorough and specialised knowledge of the foreign languages so as to allow communication between different languages and cultures.

Bachelor for Interpreters and Translators equivalent to those obtained in State Universities for Interpreters and Translators (class L-12).

Training offer

The BA for Interpreters and Translators at San Pellegrino gives the chance to study nine languages both European and non-European. The first language for all students is English.  The second language can be chosen among French, Spanish, Russian and German. The third language among Arabic, Chinese, Japanese, and Brazilian Portuguese.

Academic Calendar

Erasmus +

The SSML (University for Translators and Interpreters) has an extensive international network aimed at fostering cross-border cooperation in teaching, research and student mobility, by means of EU-funded scholarships.

SSML San Pellegrino offers its students, teachers and staff the opportunity to join the Erasmus+ mobility programmes: Study, Traineeship and Staff. These involve studying, working or training at European Universities and Institutions.

 

 

Erasmus+ Studio

Students can study in a European University and gained credits (ECTs) shall be recognised by the sending institute. While abroad, students receive a monthly contribution by the EU based on the conditions laid down in the annual call. Our students at SSML San Pellegrino can spend an exchange period of a semester.

Erasmus+ Traineeship

Students can do a traineeship in European institutions or companies abroad. This programme aims at preparing studens to meet the demands of the labour market at a community level, acquiring specific skills and improving the social, economic and cultural understanding of the host country. Our students benefit from a monthly contribution by the EU. The minimum acceptable duration is 60 days.

 

 

Erasmus+ Staff

Erasmus+ Staff programme fosters international mobility for teaching activity and training of teaching and non-teaching staff.

Since 2016, SSML San Pellegrino has been assignee of an exchange programme with the "Maxim Gorky" Literary Institute in Moscow within the Erasmus+ International Credit Mobility programme.

Students can follow the second-term classes in Translation and Interpreting.

ER-GO Financial support for International Mobility

ER-GO (the Local Authority for the Right to Higher Education of Emilia Romagna) makes available grants to eligible students in mobility or scholarship winners to participate in international mobility programmes in both EU and non-EU countries. The grants cover room and board expenses.

Once on highway A14 exit at Cattolica and follow directions leading to Misano Adratico – Porto Verde.

By train

Get off at Misano Adriatico train station and walk to the building (8 mins).
